The Yale Club of London has partnered with UK-based yourcall to allow members to call the US, most European and many other international destinations at just the cost of a call to a UK mobile number. Even better, most UK cross-network, bundled-minute packages also include calls to our access number. So if you have minutes left over at the end of the month, you can use them up chatting with friends and family back home. For those of us who need to set a good example of mobile use, calls to (and through) the access number appear on the monthly bill as just another call to a UK mobile number.
What’s the catch? None. yourcall is a mobile operator that has negotiated lower international rates than the major UK operators offer, and can pass along the savings. There’s no minimum charge and calls are billed by the second. By using the access number set up for members, you’re also supporting the Club because we receive a commission based on total volume of calls.
To use the service, just call 07744 Y-A-L-E-U-K (07744 925385) then press SEND on your phone to call the gateway. Once the gateway announcement answers, you can dial the number you want to reach on your keypad, e.g. 001 212 …, just like entering your phone calling card number in days gone by. Please don’t press “SEND” after dialing your international number, since you're already connected to the service at that point. If you’d like more details, visit the yourcall site here (but remember to use 07744 925385 instead of the numbers presented there; the rates are the same).
The Club of course does not share any member details with yourcall.
