Yale Day of Service 2010 with the Yale Club of London

Following last year's successful inauguration of this day of charitable action, the Yale Club of London is pleased to again invite you to join fellow alumni worldwide for a day in service to the community.

This year's project inolves the renewal of the Patio Garden and Activity Room at the London Church Army Women's Day Centre.  The work includes painting, planting, cleaning and general makeover of these key facilities.

The Women's Day Centre was established in 1996 to provide assistance to women suffering from drug and alcohol use and mental illness.  The Day Centre provides assistance and advice to around housing, welfare benefits and immigration issues.  In addition, it offers educational programs in English, literacy, and numeracy, as well as career guidance and IT courses.

Time:  please choose between the morning shift, the afternoon shift, or join us for the entire day!

Morning:  10.00-13.00

Afternoon: 13.00-16.00

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

On a completely voluntary basis, we would appreciate a small donation on the day to help the Yale Club of London offset the costs of providing all of the paint and plants for the Day Centre.

Please register for the Yale Day of Service via Yale’s website, which is www.yaledayofservice.org.  Our site can be found under England, and the registration link can be found at the bottom lower left of the page.

We look forward to seeing you on May 15th!

Best regards,
