YCL members are invited to an intimate concert bringing the sounds of Mexico to London as part of the Dual Year of Mexico and the United Kingdom 2015. To mark the occasion, acclaimed flautist Alejandro Escuer and exceptional guitarist Morgan Szymanski will be celebrating friendship and cultural exchange between our two nations through music with a diverse programme showcasing masterpieces from British and Mexican composers. Tickets include a themed cocktail on arrival.

Two of Mexico’s most talented classical musicians will be transporting you to Mexico with a programme of Mexican and British masterpieces and projections designed to immerse you in the musical landscape. Morgan Szymanski is a classical guitarist who has performed around the world with artists including John Williams, Celso Machado and Carlos Bonell. As well as being recognisable from his frequent appearances on TV and radio worldwide, he is also a familiar face at Dartmouth House, having mesmerised audiences with his “Estampas de Mexico” concert in 2013. He is joined by Alejandro Escuer, founder of the Onix Ensamble and one of Mexico’s foremost flautists, whose extraordinary musical imagination regularly sees him using video and new techniques to give his audience a new perspective.
