Our discussion with Jay Dougherty will raise questions on the relationship between entertainment, entertainers, and society. We look forward to seeing you and hearing your thoughts and questions, as well as any feedback on how to best shape the series. *** About Jay Dougherty Jay Dougherty (PC '71) is an entertainment and intellectual property law professor and lawyer in Los Angeles. For five years VP Production/Worldwide Acquisition at 20th Century Fox, Jay has also worked at Turner Broadcasting and MGM/United Artists. Jay now teaches Copyright and Entertainment Law as well as Motion Picture Production and Finance at Loyola Law School (including at their London Summer Intellectual Property Law Institute) and at the Munich Intellectual Property Center. He is Chair of Yale in Hollywood's Legal Committee, writes widely, is coauthor of a casebook on Entertainment Law, Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of the Copyright Society of the USA, and plays guitar in several rock bands.
